I am honored to have been invited as a guest speaker to the American College of Surgeons and Nassau Surgical Society’s Plastic Surgery Annual Meeting in Long Island, New York in December. This prestigious meeting has had many renowned giants in the field of Plastic Surgery as guest speakers, and I am thrilled for this opportunity to teach other plastic surgeons, residents and fellows about my experience with Microtia Ear Reconstruction and Otoplasty.
In addition to meeting with other surgeons, I am taking the opportunity while I’m in New York to meet with Microtia FAMILIES!
On Saturday, December 5th we will be hosting a “mini” Earicles Microtia Atresia Conference (“NYMAC”) at the Millenium Hotel in New York City. I will be giving a morning lecture on treatment options for Microtia and Atresia with a focus on the Porous Implant Ear Reconstruction (also known as “PIER” and commonly referred to as Medpor, Su-Por) technique as well as a comprehensive comparison of PIER versus Rib Cartilage ear reconstruction techniques and bone anchored hearing devices. There will be a Patient/Parent Forum Question & Answer session. Individual Patient Appointments will occur following the conference. Registrations will be very limited and will be reserved on a first-come, first-serve basis. To register, please go to www.microtiaearsurgery.com/mac
Lindsay, along with several other former patients, will be attending NYMAC. Lindsay’s new Su-Por #LewinEar is 14 weeks post-op in this “after” photo taken at our DCMAC conference in August.
We hope to see you in NYC!
